About Us

Old Stone Bernedoodles is a small, family owned breeder specializing in standard Bernedoodles in Middle Tennessee. Our heart and passion is raising well adjusted puppies that are home raised and temperament tested; providing our clients with amazing lifelong companions. We breed for health and personality. Our commitment is to our dogs and their forever homes.

First and foremost, we are committed to responsible breeding. We believe in genetic and health testing to ensure our puppies are healthy and set up for successful long happy lives. We also believe that as a breeder, we are responsible for all dogs we have delivered in our home in TN. In our contract we clearly state we will take any dog back into our care, for any reason, should a Buyer be no longer able, or willing, to care for the companion they selected.

We are also firm believers in Puppy Culture. Puppy Culture, simply put, is a socialization and training program specifically developed for puppies from birth through the end of their critical socialization period, with age appropriate protocols and lessons laid out in an organized format. The program is based on the latest science and studies on puppy and animal rearing. We have found it beneficial when raising puppies from birth to their arrival in their forever homes, and then even more beneficial when their new homes continue the training! If interested, let me know! I’d love to talk about Puppy Culture!

Our passions are kids and animals! We first fell in love with the Bernese Mountain Dog at a horse show. Our daughter was competing and a fellow barn member brought a 4 month old Bernese to the barn, and that was it - we were in love and had our own Bernese just a few short months later. Briar True is our first Bernese and she is as pretty as she is sweet. She is smart, silly, loving and the kindest dog you will ever meet. She is a large 90lbs, but it’s all love, fur, and snuggles. She’s pretty convinced she is one of the kids, and follows them around as one of the pack. She is willing to go on any adventure and explore all she can, whether it’s the forests out back, the horse barn, the chicken coop, or a local store she is visiting; she is always sweet, loving, and ready to meet anyone (or any new animal!) that she can.
